Recently, some manufacturers have been trying to sell unauthorized tie wire for use in the MAX TWINTIER® to our dealers and end users in North America.
MAX has invested heavily in developing proprietary tie wire reels that are compatible with the MAX TWINTIER® and has patents that cover such reels in the United States, such as United States Patent Nos. 10,717,626, 11,180,342. Use of an unauthorized reel marketed as being compatible with the MAX TWINTIER® may infringe on MAX Co., Ltd.’s patents. The best way to ensure that a reel does not infringe MAX’s patents is to purchase and use only authorized reels.
Moreover, use of unauthorized wire reels in your MAX TWINTIER® can negatively impact performance and damage your tool. For optimal use and durability, always use genuine TWINTIER® Tiewire. Look for the following protected MAX identifiers to ensure you are using genuine TWINTIER® Tiewire.

Use of Unauthorized Tie Wire Reels May Void Warranty
MAX’s warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by failure to follow instructions or using substandard parts that do not meet MAX’s specifications or quality requirements. Use of tie wire reels that are not manufactured by MAX, that do not meet the specifications of MAX, or that infringe on MAX’s intellectual property may void this limited warranty.
Use of Unauthorized Tie Wire Could Result in Legal Liability for Patent Infringement
Anyone who makes, imports, sells, or uses a product that infringes a patent may be liable for patent infringement according to US or Canadian law. If you make, import, sell or use infringing tie wire reels, you risk significant legal liability.
